Job summary

Sysco Ireland is seeking a Transport Planner to join our Dublin-based team. You will develop and coordinate multi-drop deliveries nationwide on a daily basis, ensuring efficient routes and optimal use of the company fleet while meeting delivery demands.

The role requires knowledge of transport planning processes, experience in logistics, and strong Excel/data analysis skills. You will work within a dynamic Transport Department to continually improve routing and customer service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transport planning and operational processes.
• Experience in the Logistics industry.
• Proficient with Excel and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan multi-drop delivery routes for drivers delivering to customers.
• Utilise fleet effectively to minimise delivery costs and optimise truck space.
• Monitor daily KPIs and report weekly/monthly delivery costings.
• Coordinate with Transport Manager and Depot Managers on backhaul and routing improvements.
• Adapt to changing business needs and support ad hoc transport tasks.
