Job summary

Gist Limited, based at Clonshaugh, Dublin, is seeking a Night Transport Planner to oversee the flow of transport resources during a 4 on, 4 off night pattern. You will coordinate resources, support service delivery and drive operational excellence within a busy distribution environment.

The role requires experience in transport planning, strong organisational skills and excellent customer communication. Night shift duties start with a report to the Transport Team Manager and include

As a Night Transport Planner, you'll be at the heart of our operation, ensuring the seamless flow of products that help customers enjoy their favourite M&S food. Joining our Clonshaugh site, you'll play a vital role in coordinating resources, supporting service delivery, and helping drive operational excellence within a fast-paced distribution environment.

What you'll be doing

Reporting into the Transport Team Manager, you’ll support the smooth running of the transport operation across your shift. Within this role you will:

• Plan and manage transport resources to meet customer requirements and operational targets
• Work closely with customers to understand current and future transport needs
• Respond promptly to customer concerns, escalating issues where appropriate
• Collaborate with colleagues across shifts to ensure consistency and continuity of operations
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
• Support the delivery of high operational standards while maintaining a customer-focused approach

What we're looking for

• Previous experience within a transport, logistics or distribution planning environment
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced operation
• Excellent communication skills and confidence building relationships with customers and colleagues
• Experience managing resources and coordinating operational activities
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
• Good IT skills and experience using transport planning or logistics systems
• Flexibility to work 40.25 hours per week on a night shift, 4 on, 4 off pattern

Salary:Up to€48,165.24 + 20% shift allowance

Working pattern: NIGHTS - 4 on, 4 off
