National Vehicle Distribution in Ireland is seeking a Transport Planner to manage day-to-day planning for 70+ trucks across Ireland and the UK, coordinating with drivers and internal teams, booking ferries and flights, and handling customs documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous transport planning experience is an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in written and verbal form.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Geographical knowledge of Ireland and UK is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan day-to-day for 70+ trucks across Ireland and the UK.
• Liaise with drivers, internal departments and subcontractors.

• Ensure transport data in systems is up to date.

Role Summary

Join our team as a Transport Planner to manage day-to-day logistics, travel bookings, and customs documentation for a fleet of 70+ trucks across Ireland and the UK. You will collaborate closely with drivers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to monitor vehicle deliveries and maintain up-to-date transport systems. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving and communication skills, geographical knowledge of the region, and a flexible, driven mindset to excel in a fast-paced environment.
