Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is seeking an experienced Account Manager to oversee day-to-day management of key accounts in Ireland. You will plan and execute account activities to meet SLAs, serve as the primary client contact, and coordinate across operations, yard, and transport teams while updating records in ERP and Salesforce.

A driving license is required and salary ranges from €40,000 to €45,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in key account management or client operations.
• Hands-on with CRM (Salesforce preferred) and ERP systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work under pressure.
• Full, clean Class B driving license.

Responsibilities

• Account & SLA Management: Execute key account plans to maintain daily vehicle throughput and hit all target delivery SLAs.
• Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for daily client queries, scheduling status meetings, and providing clear order updates.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination: Relay client specifications and updates across operations, yard, and transport teams to align delivery goals.
• Systems Administration: Update and track customer and vehicle records across our ERP, Salesforce CRM, and project software.
• Workflow Optimization: Identify supply chain bottlenecks and collaborate with operational teams to streamline processes.
• Query & Issue Resolution: Resolve operational queries promptly; elevate critical delays to management and see complaints through to resolution.
• Reporting: Compile and distribute routine account performance and volume reports for internal and client use.
• Field Visits & Ad-Hoc Support: Travel to customer sites or storage yards for operational reviews as needed, alongside general team support.

Summary of Position:

Reporting to the Customer Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of key accounts.

The successful candidate will plan and execute account activities to the highest standards, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we consistently meet and exceed agreed SLAs.

Central to this role is the active use of our enterprise software, including an ERP system, Salesforce CRM, and project management tools. A proven ability to navigate and drive work through these systems is a core requirement.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in key account management or client operations within a fast-paced environment (Logistics or Automotive industry experience is a distinct advantage)
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), ERP systems, and modern project management software tools.
• Core Competencies: Strong interpersonal and clear communication skills; effective issue resolution, organization, and time-management capabilities with a proven ability to deliver under pressure
• Licensing: Full, clean Class B driving license.
