Qualification & Requirements

- Proficient I.T. skills and be system orientated

- Experience with procurement platforms such as eTenders, including contract management and cost-quality assessments
- A qualification or previous experience in project management
Salary Scales
Social Care Assistant Pay Scale (Scale Range €34,670 to €52,967)
- this is based on full-time working hours i.e. 35 hours per week

- Full driver’s license is essential.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose of the Role
To provide transport related supports to the Association’s fleet as a member of the Transport Department and to assist the Transport Manager implement a programme of systems changes.These will be agreed with the line manager on an ongoing basis and dependent on the work priorities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with transport insurance claims processing & incident reporting; document and maintain records of all incidents, accidents and claims involving fleet vehicles, tracking status and resolution.
- Work alongside the transport manager in route, vehicle, driver planning & scheduling.
- Collaborate with area managers, service teams and drivers to communicate updates regarding routes, schedules, and vehicle availability and/or repairs.
- Research fleet tracking systems and assist transport manager to procure and implement approved system. Set up existing fleet on the approved system and train managers in its use.
- Maintain the inventory of fleet tracking master list.
- Assist the transport manager in procurement of regional based repairs and maintenance for vehicular fleet & assist adaptation of relevant Government Frameworks.
- Organise staff training and compliance plan implementation with transport manager. Schedule and document driver training sessions, including CPC certification, wheelchair clamping and fire safety while ensuring all drivers maintain up-to-date certifications.
- Assist tax, insurance, NCT minor expense transfer to service from transport department. Provide training assistance and migrate to services the task on how to tax, NCT and other minor transport expenses using Soldo expense cards.
- Assisting the transport manager to create bus route plans and bus seating plans, to assist in transport planning and identifying where additional capacity exists on bus routes or where additional capacity is required.

Working Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday.Flexibility will also be required to work outside of normal working hours in cases of emergency
