Job summary

DPD Ireland is seeking reliable delivery drivers to perform bulk freight collection and island-wide deliveries across Ireland and Northern Ireland, with flexibility across days, nights, evenings and weekends.

The role requires a full clean CE driving license, a valid CPC with all modules, and a Digital Tachograph card; experience with multi-drop deliveries and loading/unloading at depots is preferred. Applicants should be customer-focused and able to work to deadlines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery of freight to DPD depots and customer sites across Ireland.

Job description

Overview

DPD Ireland leads the field in next day parcel delivery throughout Ireland, with 37 regionally based collection and delivery depots and a state of the art central sorting hub in Athlone, Co. Westmeath.

Purpose of the role: The main focus of the role is delivering bulk freight all around the island of Ireland and conducting daily collections from our depots and customers throughout the country. We are hiring multiple people for this role with flexibility across days, nights, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Collection and delivery of freight to any of our DPD depots on the island of Ireland.
• Responsible for loading and unloading freight at DPD depots.
• Responsible for the collection of freight from any of our customer sites.
• Act professionally and build excellent customer relationships.
• Responsible for the maintenance and care of your vehicle. Completing daily walk around checks on your vehicle and load.
• Adopt safe driving conduct in conjunction with established rules of the road and local legislation.
• Fully adhere to all RSA requirements.
• The above list is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation.

Experience

• Experience Required: Must have good knowledge of Irish roads.
• Experience Preferred: 2 years Artic driving experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries is an advantage.
• Tail lift and pallet truck experience is also advantageous.
