Job summary

A J Recruit Ltd is seeking two Trainee Installation Technicians for our client’s depot in Ireland. You will install glass and related products into buses, coaches, trams and trains, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

You must hold a current driving licence with at least 3 years’ experience and be over 21. No prior glass installation experience is required, and comprehensive training will be provided. Benefits include holiday entitlement, pension, private medical insurance and more.

Qualifications

• No previous experience in glass installation required; a practical, hands-on approach is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install the Company's glass and related products into buses, coaches, trams and trains of all types, sizes and configurations.
• Install into other motor vehicles as required.
• Resealing, removal and refitting of existing installations.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks as per procedure.
• Maintain professional appearance and presentation.
• Provide courteous service when working on customer sites.
• Ensure van is stocked with tools and consumables; complete paperwork accurately.
• Undertake warehouse duties if no deliveries are planned.
• Any additional duties as required by supervisors and management.

We are looking for 2 x Trainee Installation Technicians to for our clients depot in Dublin, you will install glass to Buses, Coaches, Trains and Trams.

Key Responsibilities

• Install the Company's glass and related products into buses, coaches, trams and trains of all types, sizes and configurations
• Install into any other type of motor vehicle as may be required from time to time
• Resealing, and the removal and refitting of existing installations
• Ensure all vehicle safety checks are carried out as per procedure
• Maintain acceptable standards of personal dress, hygiene and presentation
• Conduct yourself politely and courteously when working on customers sites
• Ensure van is stocked and has all relevant consumable items and tools required to carry out your duties
• Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed
• Undertake warehouse duties if no deliveries have been planned for you at any given time on any given day
• Any other additional duties as assigned by the supervisors, Managers, Senior Managers and Directors as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a current, valid driving license (full manual driving license with at least 3 years driving experience required)
• Experience in driving a company vehicle preferred.
• Be over the age of 21 to be eligible for this role
• No previous experience of glass installation or handling is required
• A methodical, practical and hands on approach is advantageous along with a positive attitude to work
