Job summary

M&P O'Sullivan Ltd in Cork (Ireland) is seeking a motivated individual to join as a Trainee Retail Store Manager. The role focuses on developing leadership and store operations skills in a busy retail environment, with structured on-the-job training and supervision.

You will support the team, manage daily tasks, and work toward eventually stepping into a Retail Store Manager position. 40 hours per week, 5/7 roster, weekly pay and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is required.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are important for team work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing, motivating and supporting the retail team.
• Ensure staffing coverage during busy periods and assist with rotas.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle queries or complaints professionally.
• Support sales, service and operational targets.
• Assist stock management, including deliveries and stock checks.
• Ensure products are displayed, priced and presented well.
• Support cash handling, tills and end-of-day procedures.
