Job summary

Primark invites applications for a Trainee Product Technologist to develop expertise across fit, grading, and supplier coordination in a fast-paced fashion environment. You’ll gain exposure to product testing standards, quality control, and sustainability initiatives while supporting process improvements.

You’ll work within a collaborative team to manage workload and meet deadlines, building knowledge of fabrics and manufacturing. This role is based in Dublin and offers a clear development path.

Responsibilities

• Support product development activities by building knowledge of fit, sealing routes, GPSR requirements, garment construction, grading, sizing, and risk assessment processes.
• Assist with fit sessions, product reviews, testing approvals, and compliance activities.
• Build knowledge of fibres, fabrics, materials, sustainability initiatives, manufacturing processes, and factory operations to support informed product decisions.
• Develop strong supplier communication and relationship management skills within Primark quality systems.
• Support departmental objectives through workload management, KPI delivery, standardisation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate with Buying teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to support quality-focused decision-making.
