Job summary

Centra in Rathnew / Wicklow Town is seeking a Trainee Manager to support the management team across store operations and gain detailed experience in各 departments. The role involves working closely with the Store Manager to achieve targets and develop skills in leadership, merchandising and stock control.

The ideal candidate will have retail experience, strong communication and delegation abilities, and a passion for grocery retail.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in retail is desirable.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Experience balancing cash/tills is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set and monitor sales targets with the team on GP, margin, waste and KPIs as agreed with Store Manager.
• Participate in training, development initiatives and performance assessments.
• Merchandise and present the store to the highest standard per planograms and guidelines.
• Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place.
• Gain competence with supply procedures: ordering, deliveries, stock rotation and control.
• Manage assigned departments.
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.

Main Duties:

• Actively participate in all training and development initiatives, and performance assessments
• Merchandise and present the entire store to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines
• Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store
• Gain competence with all aspects of supply procedures €" ordering, delivery procedures, stock rotation and control procedures
• Manage such departments as are assigned to you
• Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
