Job summary

Specsavers Audiology Practitioner role across our stores in Dún Laoghaire, Stillorgan and Bray. You will enrol on the Specsavers AP course and train with support from a Hearing Aid Dispenser, learning to perform ear wax removals and fit and programme hearing aids.

This full-time, 40-hour week role includes weekends and 30 days leave, pension auto-enrolment, Specsavers Perks, WeCare support, Headspace access, eyecare and hearcare discounts, plus a birthday day off to celebrate you.

• No specific qualifications required to enrol on AP programme.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist on audiology tasks during training.

• Support store audiology team and customers.

Job description

Want to help the nation hear clearer than ever? As an Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers, you can work alongside your partners and colleagues to help more customers with their hearing, faster. You will be enrolled onto the Specsavers AP course and will train to completion, with the support of a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD), learning valuable skills such as being able to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fitting new domes and replace tubes. Once fully trained there may be the opportunity to move on to other roles within the store or wider business. Here at Specsavers, your opportunities are endless.

We have a large team of 12 on the Audiology side of the business with a good mix of experience.

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enrol on this programme, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here. Firstly, you’ll need to have good written and verbal English skills, so we know you can communicate effectively with our customers and colleagues. You’ll also need to have a keen interest in self-development, desire to further your skills, and then ideally a fluency in use of patient management systems (but don’t worry if you don’t have that last one).
