Job summary

Specsavers, Dawson Street, is seeking a proactive Trainee Optical Assistant with a passion for retail and customer service. You’ll help create an outstanding store environment for customers and staff, ensuring every patient receives the best care in our stores.

No previous experience is required. Specsavers offers extensive training and development, support from experienced Opticians and Technicians, and clear career progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Passion for providing excellent customer service in a retail/optics environment.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with colleagues and opticians.
• Proactive, willing to learn and take initiative.
• Comfortable using IT systems and store software.
• Excellent verbal and listening communication skills.
• Open to receiving feedback and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and help them navigate the store.
• Assist customers as a Trainee Optical Assistant under supervision.
• Use IT systems to support transactions and store operations.
• Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, professional store environment.
• Engage in training and development opportunities with support from experienced staff.
