Job summary

Specsavers is seeking an Audiology Practitioner to support our stores in Dún Laoghaire, Stillorgan and Bray. You will enrol on the Specsavers AP course and train under a Hearing Aid Dispenser, learning to fit and programme hearing aids and perform ear wax removals.

Full-time (40 hours/week) with 30 days leave, pension auto-enrollment, Specsavers Perks, WeCare and Headspace access. Opportunities to move into other roles within the store or wider business after training.

Qualifications

• Good written and spoken English required.
• Keen interest in self-development.
• Desire to further skills and training.
• Familiarity with patient management systems is a plus, not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and contribute to hearing care services.
• Enrol on the Specsavers AP course and train under a HAD.
• Fit and programme hearing aids and fit new domes/tubes.
• Support stores in Dún Laoghaire, Stillorgan and Bray.

Want to help the nation hear clearer than ever? As an Audiology Practitioner at Specsavers, you can work alongside your partners and colleagues to help more customers with their hearing, faster. You will be enrolled onto the Specsavers AP course and will train to completion, with the support of a Hearing Aid Dispenser (HAD), learning valuable skills such as being able to perform ear wax removals, fit and programme hearing aids, fitting new domes and replace tubes. Once fully trained there may be the opportunity to move on to other roles within the store or wider business. Here at Specsavers, your opportunities are endless.

We have a large team of 12 on the Audiology side of the business with a good mix of experience.

While we don’t need you to have a degree or any specific qualifications to enrol on this programme, we do need you to have a few skills to get started here.Firstly, you’ll need to have good written and verbal English skills, so we know you can communicate effectively with our customers and colleagues. You’ll also need to have a keen interest in self-development, desire to further your skills, and then ideally a fluency in use of patient management systems (but don’t worry if you don’t have that last one).
