Job summary

Axis Environmental Services, part of the Celnor Group, is hiring a Trainee Air Emissions Technician to join the Field Team in Ireland. The role involves field-based emissions monitoring, stack testing, and data reporting with nationwide travel from Limerick.

Structured training and a clear progression path are provided as you develop specialist expertise. You will learn to conduct emissions monitoring projects, collect environmental data and produce technical reports while working closely with

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working outdoors and at height when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travel to client sites across Ireland to support air emissions monitoring projects.
• Assist with stack emissions testing and environmental monitoring activities.
• Prepare monitoring equipment and project documentation.
• Collect, record and analyse environmental data.
• Support the preparation of technical reports and compliance documentation.
• Maintain accurate records in line with ISO 17025 standards.
• Work safely in accordance with risk assessments and health and safety procedures.
• Work alongside experienced technicians to develop technical competence.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
