Qualifications

Job Title – Toolmaker / Tooling Technician

Job Location – West Dublin

Salary – €45K - €55K

About the Company:

Inform3 are recruiting for a Toolmaker / Tooling Technician to join a well-established company based in West Dublin. They are a leading company that works in the tooling, moulding and automation technology industry and are widely recognised.

As a Toolmaker / Technician you will be reporting to the Tooling Manager and be responsible for the repair, maintenance and examination of all types of injection mould and metal press tooling.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design, manufacture jigs, fixtures and tooling
• To ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to the quality of standards rules and regulations.
• Responsible for routine serving and maintenance checks of all tools.
• Troubleshoot on product performance and mould problems and improve tooling initiative.
• Report back to the Tooling Manager of any problems.
• Responsible for complying with the specifications and procedure records for each mould and monitor them effectively.
• To carry out any reasonable tasks as may be requested from the Tooling Manager.
• To observe the Health & Safety regulations that is in place with the company policy.
• To handle various tasks simultaneously and to be able to adapt to changing your priorities as required.
• To repair and maintain moulds, multi-cavity moulds and stack moulds when necessary.

Essentials:

• Toolmaking background within manufacturing/engineering environments.
• Knowledge and understanding of trouble shooting, injection moulding tooling and maintenance.
• A qualification in a trade (mechanical, electrical, carpentry) is desired however not essential.
• Ability to repair and refurb of existing tools.
• Excellent IT and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner whilst adopting to the company values.
• Skilled with both machine and hand tools.
• Experienced with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• High degree of concentration required to operate machinery and tools safety.
