GMC Utilities Group is seeking a reliable Tool Operative to support our tool stores within a busy Civil Engineering and Utilities environment. You will issue, receive, inspect, maintain and track tools to keep them safe and ready for site teams.
The role requires accurate record-keeping, routine stock checks, and compliance with health and safety standards. Experience in tool stores or similar environments is preferred, with forklift certification seen as a plus.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Tool Operative to support the daily operation of our tool stores within a busy Civil Engineering and Utilities environment. This role involves issuing, receiving, inspecting, maintaining, and tracking tools and equipment to ensure they are available, safe, and fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate tool records, carrying out inspections, preparing tools for site teams, and ensuring compliance with company safety standards.
