Job summary

Mark McCarthy is an established renovation and construction business based in Killaculleen, Templeglantine, Co. Limerick. Experienced tilers are invited to apply for a full-time, permanent role offering a competitive salary of €36,605 per annum and a 39-hour workweek.

The position provides an opportunity to work with an established company on residential and commercial projects in the region. Training and a professional working environment are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Floor or Wall Tiler
• Ability to read technical drawings and building specifications
• Physically fit, safety-conscious and attentive to detail
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Must be available to work 39 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Examine drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
• Prepare and clean surfaces ready for tiling.
• Mix cement screed, adhesive or other composition mixtures as required.
• Cut, position and fix floor and wall tiles, ensuring correct alignment with a spirit level.
• Lay and secure underlay, carpet, linoleum or other floor coverings where required.
• Finish coverings by rolling, smoothing, grouting or polishing.
• Cover and decorate walls and floors with tiles, mosaic panels, terrazzo or granolithic mixtures.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness and organisation on site.
• Comply fully with all health, safety and quality regulations.
