Job summary

Grasstec Limited in Charleville, Co. Cork, invites applications for a qualified Tiler. The role is full-time/contract, 39 hours per week, with immediate start and onsite work at One Creamery Square, Newtownshandrum.

You will read drawings, measure and set out tiling, prepare surfaces, lay ceramic, porcelain and stone tiles, apply adhesives and grout, and ensure safety and quality on site. 1-2 years of tiling experience is required, with ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in tiling or similar role.
• Ability to read drawings and set out work accurately.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Measure and set out tiling work accurately.
• Prepare floors and walls, including cleaning and levelling.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles as required.
• Lay ceramic, porcelain, stone and other tiles.
• Apply adhesives, grout and sealants and finish to required quality.
• Meet quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain tools and site areas in safe, clean condition.
• Comply with site health and safety.
• Collaborate with other trades and site management.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Measure and set out tiling work accurately.
• Inspect and prepare floor and wall surfaces, including cleaning and levelling as required.
• Repair or replace damaged tiles where required.
• Measure, cut, lay and fix ceramic, porcelain, stone and other specified floor and wall tiles.
• Apply adhesives, grout and sealants and complete all finishing work to the required quality standard.
• Work to agreed quality and productivity targets.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Comply with all site health and safety requirements.
• Work effectively with other trades and site management.
