Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Test and Run Technician to join our service centre team. You will perform basic electrical and functionality testing, service and clean equipment returned from hire, ensuring it is safe, reliable and ready for rehook/reuse.

You will also update service records in IT systems, identify spare parts needs to keep repairs timely, and support engineers with assembling larger equipment and loading/unloading from vehicles. We value safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Basic electrical skills (12/24v).
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use tools effectively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Test and Run Technician to join our friendly Sunbelt Rentals service centre team.

In this busy role you will carry out basic electrical and functionality testing as well as servicing and cleaning products returned from hire to ensure they are safe, reliable and presentable and ready for rehire. Your duties will include updating service records using IT systems and identifying when spare parts are needed to ensure repairs are timely and cost effective.

You’ll be a key member of the team and be comfortable working flexibly to support the overall service centre operations, for example ensuring that the workshop is safe and tidy, assisting engineers with assembling larger equipment or supporting drivers with loading and unloading equipment from vehicles.

To succeed in this role you will have experience of maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment and will bring:

• Able to adapt quickly to support others
