Job summary

HSE is seeking a Temporary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary CAMHS team in Ireland. You will deliver psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and ongoing care for children and adolescents with diverse mental health needs.

The role involves clinical leadership, supervision of junior staff, and contributing to service development and on-call duties within a patient-centred model.

Qualifications

• Registration in the Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council in Psychiatry.
• Eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Demonstrated experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-led psychiatric assessment and treatment for children and adolescents.
• Deliver evidence-based care in line with HSE policies and national standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Participate in clinical governance, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to non-consultant clinicians.
• Contribute to on-call and emergency psychiatric services as required.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
