Job summary

Noel Group in Cork is seeking a Temporary Catering Assistant to join our catering team for 7am to 3pm shifts across various locations in Cork and surrounding areas. The role involves basic food preparation, maintaining hygiene standards, serving and clearing duties, and assisting during service with a focus on customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years in a professional kitchen, relevant food safety certificates, and a passion for food and service.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years proven track record in a professional kitchen or catering kitchen environment.
• All relevant food safety certificates and manual handling (if not this can be completed prior to job commencement)
• A passion for food and service.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the team with food preparation
• Preparing different food cuisines / meals
• Ensuring the kitchen area is clean at all times
• Ensuring all the health and safety procedures are being followed correctly.
• All food related enquires are being dealt with
