Job summary

Uisce Éireann is seeking a Telemetry Design Technician to deliver hands-on technical delivery for outstation configuration, commissioning, and integration across our telemetry estate. You will work with contractors, field teams, and internal stakeholders to configure systems and troubleshoot on site.

You report to the Telemetry Design Lead and will help define communications protocols, document Modbus maps, and ensure systems operate as designed.

Qualifications

• Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Configure outstations and associated equipment to specification, working with design documents and contractor teams
• Define and document Modbus maps and communications requirements in consultation with contractors and engineering teams
• Troubleshoot installations on site, identify root causes, and resolve configuration or integration issues
• Commission new sites and systems, run performance tests, and handover to operations
• Create and maintain mimics (system graphics) to represent site configuration and data points
• Support site surveys and specification work ahead of new installations
• Collaborate with the Design Lead on standardising processes and configurations across the estate
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing on how systems are configured and maintained
• Adhere to all HSQE plans, policies and procedures
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting KPIs for processes over which they have ownership
