Job summary

Fenergo is seeking a highly skilled Technical Team Lead to mentor a team of software engineers and deliver scalable enterprise SaaS solutions for financial crime monitoring. You will work with Product to align technical delivery with business goals and stay hands-on with code, shaping AI usage across engineering.

This role focuses on building secure, multi-tenant systems on AWS, driving observability, and maintaining a culture of ownership and collaboration within a fast-paced FinTech

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years leading engineering teams that build SaaS products.
• Strong, hands-on Python development skills. Familiarity with React is a plus.
• Solid experience with AWS and its services (Lambda, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch, SNS, SQS).
• Strong system design and event-driven architecture with good architectural judgement.
• Experience using AI coding tools in daily development with security and data handling in mind.
• Experience building and running secure, multi-tenant systems with GDPR compliance and SOC 2/ISO 27001 awareness.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with Product and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of scalable, resilient SaaS solutions on AWS and own key technical decisions.
• Translate business strategy into a clear technical roadmap with Product input.
• Deliver high-quality work: manage scope, remove blockers, adapt plans as needed.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing engineering team and support career development.
• Ensure security, data protection, and resilience standards for regulated clients.
• Own production health: observability, reliability, incident response, improvements.
• Promote engineering best practices in code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
• Drive AI-assisted development with guardrails to boost productivity and quality.
