Job summary

DM Financial is seeking a technically minded Technical Solutions Architect to support its digital transformation and shape proprietary technology solutions across the business.

You will work with business stakeholders, internal IT and external partners to ensure designs are well integrated, scalable and aligned with the firm’s long-term technology strategy.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in solutions architecture.
• Experience designing integrated solutions in Microsoft cloud environments (SharePoint, M365, Azure).
• Understanding of data architecture, integration patterns, security and governance best practices.

About the Role

We are looking for a technically minded Technical Solutions Architect to support our digital transformation programme and help shape the development of proprietary technology solutions across the business.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys understanding business processes and translating operational requirements into practical technology solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, internal IT, and external technology partners to ensure solutions are well designed, integrated and aligned with the firm's long-term technology strategy.

As you become familiar with our business and the financial services sector, you will play an increasingly important role in helping deliver scalable, secure and efficient technology solutions

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and evolution of our application and data architecture across multiple business systems, advising on key architectural choices at appropriate stages.
• Assist in defining solution designs that are scalable, secure and aligned with the firm’s technology roadmap.
• Establish standards for system design, data structures, and integration approaches, ensuring architecture supports long-term scalability, flexibility, and platform growth.
• Design and coordinate integrations of developed solutions into a unified platform.
• Support the development of data architecture, data flows and data quality standards across solutions.
• Act as a central link between internal development teams, IT and external developers to ensure consistency and alignment across all development streams.
• Continuously monitor and optimise the performance, scalability, and reliability of developed solutions.
• Coordinate with internal IT and compliance teams to ensure alignment with internal IT standards, security requirements, and compliance expectations.
• Support documentation of processes, including control documentation, standard operating procedures, control frameworks, and ISAE-related requirements.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys solving business problems through technology.

You will ideally have:

• 3-5 years experience in solutions architecture.
• Experience designing integrated solutions within Microsoft cloud environments, including SharePoint, M365 and Azure-based data.
• Good understanding of:

1. Data architecture and data management
2. Integration patterns and APIs
3. Security and compliance considerations
4. Application security and governance best practices

• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and practical way
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach.
• An interest in learning the financial services industry and understanding how technology can improve business operations.
• A willingness to take ownership, learn new technologies and contribute to the continued evolution of our technology platform.
