Job summary

Mergon Group in Ireland is seeking a Project Manager to lead new customer projects from concept through to production launch. You will collaborate with global healthcare, industrial and automotive customers, guiding cross-functional teams to deliver on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering/Project Management, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Proven project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Self-awareness, learns from wins and failures and shares knowledge.
• Acts with urgency; multitasks and reprioritizes effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead new customer projects through the entire project lifecycle.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables.
• Coordinate product design, mould design, equipment development, validation activities and production readiness.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers.
• Lead cross-functional teams including Engineering, Tooling, Design, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Manage project risks and mitigation plans.
• Drive clear communication and regular project reviews with customers.
• Support APQP, PPAP, validation and customer-specific programmes.
• Ensure delivery aligns with customer expectations and Mergon quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Technical Services.
• Coordinate trials at supplier site and in-house as relevant.
• Manage high-volume trials at mass production locations.
• For Medical projects, manage all Qualification phases (IQ/OQ/PQ) per ISO13485.
