Job summary

Mergon Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our Technical Services team. You will lead new customer projects from concept through to production launch, coordinating across Engineering, Tooling, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure on-time, in-budget delivery aligned with high quality standards.

You will manage cross-functional teams, drive risk mitigation, and act as the primary technical contact for customers, including APQP/PPAP and validation activities in healthcare or automotive

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing or related field.
• Proven project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Experience in healthcare/medical device manufacturing.
• Experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, validation and product development processes.
• Experience working with international customers.

Due to a series of internal promotions and continued growth across our customer portfolio, we are seeking a Project Manager, to join our Technical Services team.

The Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for leading new customer projects from concept through to successful production launch. Working closely with global healthcare, industrial and automotive customers, you will manage cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic Technical Services team and play a key role in bringing innovative products from design and development through to full-scale production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new customer projects through the entire project lifecycle.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables.
• Coordinate product design, mould design, equipment development, validation activities and production readiness.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the project.
• Lead cross-functional project teams including Engineering, Tooling, Design, Quality, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Manage project risks and implement effective mitigation plans.
• Drive clear communication and regular project reviews with customers and stakeholders.
• Support APQP, PPAP, validation and customer-specific programme requirements.
• Ensure projects are delivered in line with customer expectations and Mergon's quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Technical Services.
• Co-ordinate trials at supplier site and in house as relevant.
• Manage high volume trial at mass production location
• For Medical projects, manage all Qualification phases as parts of the pre-determined process (IQ, OQ, PQ) as per ISO13485

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
• Proven project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
