About the Company:

INFORM3 are currently on the lookout for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a leading clients team based in County Cork that specialise in Automation Product Designs worldwide and are widely recognised for their dedication to contributing customer satisfaction within the Manufacturing Industry.

This opportunity will be based in County Cork and will require some travelling depending on the requirements needed in order to integrate the Sales and Business Development efforts inside and outside of the company.

Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, your primary role will be to profitably drive increased market penetration and sales growth in Ireland.

Duties Involve:
  • Take responsibility for selected customers as defined by the Team Leader PIIA and Sales Manager UK & IE to deepen and expand relationships thereby increasing revenues and profitability.
  • Take responsibility for the complete customer lifecycle from opportunity identification to conversion to incoming orders and measures.
  • Identify prospects and convert sales opportunities in agreed regions or sectors through successful promotion of the company products, solutions and services.
  • Identify prospects and opportunities and convert project sales opportunities with our product customers for engineering upgrade projects in the field of Machinery Safety, Process Safety and OT Security.
  • Develop proposals and convert sales opportunities for automation systems and / or engineering projects from leads generated by our Machine and Process champions.
  • Provide presales and post-sales support to selected customers in the Irish customer base.
  • Become knowledgeable about customer applications of company Products & Services across their complete portfolio, and become the customer applications expert in for the company’s automation components and systems.
  • Support the continued business development for our services and product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Sales Manager, Team Leader, Distribution Channel Manager and other colleagues in marketing, sales and business development initiatives.
  • Generate sales reports as necessary, e.g. contacts, plans, competitor intelligence.
  • Comply with relevant code of conduct, policies including Health & Safety, Security and GDPR.
Skills Required:
  • 5 years’ experience in Sales to automation, control or electrical switchgear sector.
  • Demonstrated success in selling in the industrial automation sector.
  • Proven ability in discussing technical as well as commercial related aspects of capital automation projects.
  • Have strong initiative and self-motivation to drive results
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Full, clean Driving License.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the island of Ireland with occasional travel to the UK and overseas with regular overnight stays.
