Job summary

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification required.
• 5+ years’ experience in airline, MRO, OEM, lessor or aircraft management.
• Experience in aircraft transitions and deliveries/re-delivery/repossession projects.
• Experience leading aircraft inspections and airworthiness evaluations.
• Knowledge of airworthiness directives, regulations and CAMO requirements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Job description

Santos Dumont Limited is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Technical Project Manager based in Dublin, Ireland. (Applicants residing in other locations will also be considered.)

Reporting to:

Chief Technical Officer

Responsibilities and key accountabilities:

• Delivering project management solutions to customers including airlines, leasing companies and/or financial institutions.
• Contributing to the development of project management processes and reporting to customers at agreed intervals.
• Responsible for all technical aspects of aircraft and engine deliveries/redeliveries acceptance and returns.
• Reviewing technical documentation for accuracy, correctness and completeness.
• Providing proactive advice on aircraft and engine specific technical/leasing matters.
• Co-ordinating discussions and managing meetings with customers and stakeholders
• Providing technical expertise/support in relation to aircraft acquisition/disposal transactions.
• Managing all technical aspects in respect of contracted aircraft/engine maintenance events.
• Management of technical consultant teams.

Skills and Experience:

• Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years’ experience working for an airline, MRO, OEM, Lessor, CAMO or aircraft management company.
• Experience in aircraft transitions and aircraft delivery/redelivery/repossession projects.
• Experienced in leading and carrying out aircraft inspections, maintenance status assessments, and airworthiness evaluations.
• Understanding and experience of airworthiness directives, regulations and mandates.
• Understanding of aircraft maintenance planning and CAMO requirements.
• Computer proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.

• Sound business knowledge and judgement, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Competent at auditing aircraft records.
• High attention to accuracy and detail.
• Excellent time management and ability to identify priority tasks.
• Capable of distilling information into key takeaways and presenting reports in a clear and concise manner.
• Team player with excellent collaborative and communication skills and a proven ability to influence others.
• Flexibility with working hours and willing to travel at short notice, for extended periods if necessary.
• Commercial awareness: commercially focused approach aimed at completion of projects on time and on budget; and management of supplier/stakeholder relationships while balancing technical requirements, cost, risk and business objectives.
