Job summary

Broadridge Financial Solutions, Inc. in Dublin is seeking a highly skilled .NET / C# Technical Lead to drive design, development and delivery of financial software with hands-on leadership.

You will mentor backend developers, define architecture for microservices, and collaborate with product, QA and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure features on tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in .NET/.NET Core, C#, MS SQL Server, and T-SQL.
• Experience in a technical leadership role with architectural input.
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and maintenance of .NET/NET Core apps and microservices.
• Drive technical decisions, solution architecture, scalability, security and maintainability.

We are looking for a highly skilled .NET / C# Technical Lead with strong expertise in modern .NET technologies, C#, SQL Server, and microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should combine hands‑on technical excellence with leadership capabilities , including team mentoring, delivery coordination, architectural decision‑making, and cross‑functional collaboration.

This role requires someone who is detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of working under tight deadlines while ensuring high engineering standards, team productivity, and successful project delivery.

You will be working on financial software for investment management firms. Our platform delivers a unified solution across portfolio management, order management, electronic trading, compliance, and risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of applications using .NET / .NET Core, C#, and microservices architecture .
• Drive technical decisions and contribute to solution architecture , ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers
• Build and oversee scalable backend services with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security .
• Ensure robust, maintainable code following OOP principles, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean coding standards .
• Guide the team in implementing multithreading and asynchronous programming for high‑performance modules.
• Lead code reviews , enforce development standards, and ensure overall code quality.
• Mentor, support, and technically guide team members, helping them grow their skills and improve delivery effectiveness.
• Coordinate and actively participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand‑ups, Grooming, Retrospective).
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA, architects, DevOps, and other cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality features on time.
• Help with task planning, prioritization, workload distribution, and risk management within the team.
• Use tools like Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for delivery tracking and development automation.
• Troubleshoot production issues (including weekend support when required), conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive both short‑term fixes and long‑term improvements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, drive engineering best practices, and reduce technical debt.
• Take ownership of technical delivery and help ensure alignment between business goals and engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Strong hands‑on proficiency in .NET, .NET Core, C#, MS SQL Server, and T‑SQL .
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role .
• Strong understanding of software architecture , especially microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerized environments.
• Excellent knowledge of OOP concepts, SOLID principles, and design patterns .
• Experience with multithreading, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with tools such as Jira, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to lead by example with a hands‑on approach while also coordinating team efforts.
• Ability to drive process improvements and team efficiency initiatives.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working under pressure and managing competing priorities.
