Job summary

Smartedge Solutions seeks an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to own Azure cloud design, implementation, and management from Dublin, Ireland, with hybrid working. You will drive migration from on-premises to Azure, ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient environments, and lead deployment and release governance across development and production.

As the technical authority, you will mentor engineers, define standards, participate in architecture governance, and manage vendor relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of Azure cloud solutions.
• Drive cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on premises to Azure.
• Ensure Azure environments are secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective.
• Vendor Release & Deployment Management Coordinate and manage vendor application releases across development and production environments.
• Review release documentation, implementation plans, and rollback procedures.
• Lead deployment activities and ensure successful execution of release schedules.
• Assess release impacts on infrastructure, integration points, and business services.
• Work closely with vendors to resolve deployment issues and technical defects.
• Infrastructure Management Provide technical oversight of enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Lead operating system, middleware, database, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity requirements.
• Manage infrastructure incidents, problem management, and root cause analysis activities.
• Technical Leadership Act as the technical authority for cloud and infrastructure-related initiatives.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and technical teams.
• Define technical standards, design principles, and implementation patterns.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical governance forums.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements.
• Manage relationships with software vendors and third-party service providers.
• Ensure vendor deliverables meet agreed quality and security standards.
• Provide regular status updates, risk assessments, and escalation support.
