Job summary

Smartedges Client in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking a Technical Delivery Lead to steer Azure cloud initiatives in a hybrid environment. You will design, implement and govern cloud solutions, lead migrations, and coordinate vendor releases while ensuring security, scalability and cost efficiency.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, participate in governance reviews and liaise with stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the design, implementation and management of Azure cloud solutions.
• Proven ability to drive cloud migration from on premises to Azure.
• Experience ensuring Azure environments are secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective.
• Experience in vendor release and deployment management across development and production environments.
• Ability to review release documentation, plans and rollback procedures.
• Lead deployment activities and ensure successful release schedules.
• Assess release impacts on infrastructure, integration points and business services.
• Work with vendors to resolve deployment issues and technical defects.
• Provide technical oversight of enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Lead OS, middleware, database and infrastructure upgrades.
• Support disaster recovery, backup and business continuity requirements.
• Manage infrastructure incidents, problem management and root cause analysis.
• Act as technical authority for cloud and infrastructure initiatives; mentor engineers.
• Define technical standards, design principles and implementation patterns.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical governance forums.
• Engage with stakeholders and manage vendor relationships; ensure deliverables meet quality and security standards.
