Job summary

Anord Mardix, a Flex company, seeks a Technical Author in Dundalk, Ireland to create test documentation for the in-house iOS Engineer App, write operation and maintenance manuals, and generate FAT documentation while coordinating with production and project teams in Ireland and the UK.

You will use Vision database, support training, and help maintain high documentation standards across the SpinCo initiative, contributing to critical digital infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• 3rd Level Electrical qualification.
• At least 1 year experience in electrical manufacturing/testing/commissioning/design.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of working with cross-functional teams.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a new Technical Author employee located in Dundalk, Ireland. Reporting to Technical Manger, this role will be responsible for creating test documentation for use with the inhouse developed iOS Engineer App in both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF form formats, in accordance with Anord Mardix drawings and testing schedules. This element involves the extensive use of Anord Mardix’s Vision database and coordination of data therein, particularly during service tag requests. Clear lines of communication will be established with the production teams and project management in Ireland and the UK during this process and workload managed accordingly to meet the company’s demanding production schedule. The role also involves writing and compiling Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Client Training Manuals to the meticulously high standard that has currently been achieved. This presents the opportunity to further understand the operation of Anord Mardix assemblies as part of the authoring process.

What a typical day looks like:

Experience / qualification we’re looking to add to our team:

• 3rd Level Electrical qualification.
• At least 1 year experience in electrical manufacturing/testing/comissioning/design.
• A team player with a positive attitude towards work & staff engagement and good communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive with an eye for improvements and problem solving.
• Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft office & some working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Eligible to work in Ireland (EU)
• Advantageous: Electrical trade background
• Proficient in the understanding of electrical engineering drawings
• Working knowledge of Power Switchgear and Controlgear assemblies
