Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced IT Risk professional to support execution of IT and cybersecurity risk management activities, regulatory interactions, and risk reporting. You will contribute to risk identification, assessment, and remediation across multiple core practice areas within the Information Security and Technology Risk Management Program.

Qualifications

Strong experience in IT Risk Management, Technology Risk, or IT Audit.
Experience creating metrics and reporting using tools such as Power BI and PowerPoint.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related discipline; advanced degree desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain technology and cybersecurity risk metrics and assessments.
Prepare and deliver materials for regulatory interactions, audits, and senior management meetings.
Identify and assess risks with internal technologies and hosted systems.
Define requirements and execution plans for information security and risk management programs.
Ensure programs align with regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Communicate security policies clearly to ensure understanding and adoption.
Produce meaningful metrics for risk management programs.
Review controls using established frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001/27002, NIST 800-53).
Drive risk reduction through remediation processes.
Document and report risk findings and remediation plans to management.
Collaborate with Security, Privacy, and Enterprise Risk teams to enhance policies and standards.
