Jobgether seeks a hands-on Technical Lead (Ruby on Rails, AI-Native) to shape engineering culture in a fully remote, part-time role. You will guide a distributed team across multiple countries, establish standards, and promote sustainable, high-quality software practices while leveraging AI-powered development tools.

You will mentor developers, influence technical direction, and maintain ownership of engineering processes in a flexible 50% time commitment.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
• 6+ years with Ruby on Rails in production.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team.
• Strong code-review and architectural judgment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a strong engineering culture and collaboration practices.
• Set technical standards for quality, maintainability, reliability.
• Lead AI-native development practices and responsible tool usage.
• Mentor a team of four developers across multiple countries.
• Guide architectural decisions for scalable solutions.
• Review AI-assisted workflows ensuring quality and security.
• Define development processes, conventions, and review practices.
• Foster knowledge sharing across time zones.
• Partner with leadership to own engineering culture.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering workflows and AI adoption.
