Job summary

Autism A Chara in Bray, Co Wicklow is seeking a Team Leader (Specific Purpose) for Day services. The role is 15 hours per week and requires leadership and coordination to support people with autism.

The successful candidate will manage a small team, implement PCPs and care plans, and work on rota shifts including evenings and weekends. Full induction and ongoing training are provided, with access to benefits and career progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Care/Studies or equivalent (Irish Level 8) or equivalent outside the state recognised by NARIC.
• Two years management experience with responsibility for a team.
• Experience implementing and developing PCPs and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day service operations and rota coverage.
• Implement and develop support/care plans and PCPs for individuals.
• Coordinate and supervise a team, including evenings, weekends and night shifts.

Essential criteria for the position of Team Leader:

• A full Degree in Social Care/ Studies Or Relevant 3rd Level Qualification at degree level i.e.; Social Work, Psychology is essential
• Two years Management experience with responsibility for a team of employees
• Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP’s
• Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts
• Full, clean Irish driving licence (manual) essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
• Permission to work in Ireland essential

Qualifications required:

Skills/Abilities Required Of a Team Leader

• Two years Management experience with responsibility for a team of employees.
• Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector
• Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism
• Proven ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work alone in coordinating and managing developing services.
• Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCP’s
• Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
• Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
• Full, clean Irish driving licence (manual) essential with requirement to drive service vehicles
