Job summary

The Talbot Group in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, is seeking a Team Lead to provide person-centred care and supervise on-floor staff in a residential setting for adults with Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism.

The role involves coordinating shifts and working within a MDT to deliver high-quality support. A Level 7 NFQ qualification in Social Care or related field and at least two years' experience in residential/day services with people with disabilities are required; experience in team management

Qualifications

• Qualification at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Teaching, Nursing, Childcare with Disability modules (or other relevant discipline/qualification)
• Have 2 years' experience working in a residential, respite or day service setting with people with an intellectual disability.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support through a person-centred approach to meet practical, physical and emotional needs of residents with Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism
• Assist with residential, training and day service activities and co-ordinate shifts while on duty
• Supervise staff under direction and deputise for the Person In-Charge when required as part of MDT service delivery
