Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tax Partner to lead and grow our clients tax advisory practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic tax advice to a diverse client portfolio, developing new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, and contributing to the overall leadership and growth of the firm.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the direction of the tax function while working closely with partners and senior leadership to deliver exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory
- Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to a portfolio of corporate, private, and owner-managed business clients.
- Advise clients on corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, international tax matters, and other complex tax issues.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities to add value and support business growth.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality tax advice in accordance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Leadership
- Lead and develop the firm's tax function, identifying opportunities for growth and service expansion.
- Establish and implement strategies to increase revenues and profitability within the tax division.
- Contribute to the firm's overall strategic direction and business objectives.
- Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
Business Development
- Develop and maintain a strong professional network to generate new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with prospective and existing clients to expand service offerings.
- Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and fee quotations.
- Represent the firm at industry events, networking forums, and client meetings.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop tax managers and broader tax teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on client service and technical excellence.
- Support recruitment, retention, and succession planning initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight on complex assignments.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax legislation and professional standards.
- Monitor legislative developments and communicate key changes to clients and colleagues.
- Manage risk and quality control procedures within the tax function.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Tax Advisor (CTA), Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA), or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience operating at Director or Partner level within a professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across corporate tax, income tax, capital taxes, and tax planning.
- Proven business development and client relationship management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and grow a successful tax practice.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Track record of winning and retaining high-value client relationships.
- Experience advising SMEs, indigenous businesses, and multinational organisations.
- Knowledge of international tax and cross-border transactions.
- Existing professional network within the Irish market.
Location: Dublin
Salary: 120k - 140k
