Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment in Dublin seeks an experienced Director or Senior Manager to join the leadership team of a well established firm. You will advise owner-managed businesses, SMEs and international groups, shaping a growing tax practice.

With 10+ years in professional services tax, you will mentor staff, lead client relationships and spot BD opportunities, while collaborating with audit and accounting Partners to deliver integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualification; 10+ years in professional services tax.
• Strong technical range across tax heads and leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and generate opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a varied tax portfolio including corporate tax, income tax, CGT, VAT and succession planning.
• Deliver commercially sharp advisory work and maintain high technical standards.
• Mentor the tax team and develop staff capabilities.
• Build long-lasting client relationships and identify BD opportunities.
• Collaborate with audit and accounting Partners on joint assignments.
• Keep pace with Irish tax legislation and market directions.

Job description

We're seeking an experience Director or a Senior Manager ready to step up and join the leadership team of a well established and well thought of Dublin firm.

They are an experienced team serving a broad client base spanning domestic and international work across multiple sectors. There's a growth share element built into the package for the right person

You'd be working among the leadership team and the existing Tax Partners, advising everyone from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to international groups, HNW individuals and entrepreneurial clients.

• Running a varied portfolio spanning corporate tax, income tax, CGT, VAT and succession planning


• Delivering advisory work that's commercially sharp, not just technically correct


• Mentoring the team and keeping technical standards high as they develop


• Building client relationships built to last, not just to close


• Working cross-functionally with audit and accounting Partners on joint assignments


• Spotting and chasing BD opportunities that grow the tax division specifically


• Keeping pace with Irish tax legislation and where the market's heading.

CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified, with 10 + years in professional services tax. You'll have strong technical range across tax heads, a track record of leading people and managing client relationships, and the commercial instinct to spot opportunities rather than wait for them. You'll be collaborative, ambitious, and genuinely interested in helping build something, not just maintaining it.
