Job summary

Apple seeks a Swift Software Engineer within Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) to own features across the full development lifecycle. You will build native macOS, iOS, and iPadOS apps in Swift/SwiftUI, designing intuitive interactions and enabling AI enhancements.

You will independently contribute to technical design, deliver high-quality results with limited guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional partners, impacting daily experiences for Apple employees globally.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI with shipping production apps on Apple platforms.
• Experience with RESTful API integration and client-side data architecture.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native application features in Swift and SwiftUI across macOS, iOS, and iPadOS
• Own features end-to-end: from requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration
• Build features that leverage AI and platform services to enhance usability—surfacing intelligence contextually and reducing manual effort
• Integrate with system frameworks (App Intents, Shortcuts, extensions) to create connected, interoperable experiences
• Write thorough automated tests (unit, integration, UI) and contribute to a culture of engineering quality
• Conduct and participate in code reviews; provide and receive constructive technical feedback
• Partner with designers and product managers to translate requirements into polished, accessible solutions
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve production issues; contribute to post-incident learnings
• Maintain clear technical documentation for systems, APIs, and design decisions
