Job summary

Vertiv Co is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to drive design-for-manufacturability improvements for Busbar designs, an Engineered-To-Order (ETO) product line with high variability and complexity. You will coordinate cross-functionally to support production, NPDI, and supply chain constraints while ensuring quality before release.

The role emphasizes fast-paced problem solving and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment, requiring 1-3+ years in mechanical design and solid 3D/2D

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in product design.
• 1-3+ years in 3D modeling / 2D drafting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability.
• 1-3+ years of experience in Sheet Metal and Copper Design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Job description

The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for providing immediate response to design-related production issues, managing the Product Lifecycle for Busbar designs, and improving Design for Manufacturability. Busbar is an Engineered-To-Order (ETO) product, which means each customer order is specifically engineered. This generally leads to higher complexity and variation for departments supporting this product family. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a fast-paced environment that fosters problem-solving and continuous improvement.
