Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation in Ireland is seeking a Sustaining Engineer to address design-related production issues and manage the product lifecycle for Busbar designs, an Engineered-To-Order product with high complexity. The role focuses on design for manufacturability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will cross-functionally coordinate improvements, provide production design support, assist NPDI, and ensure released designs meet quality standards before production

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in product design.
• 1-3+ years of experience in 3D modeling / 2D drafting.
• Excellent communications skills – written & verbal.
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability.
• 1-3+ years of experience in Sheet Metal and Copper Design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Job description

The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for providing immediate response to design-related production issues, managing the Product Lifecycle for Busbar designs, and improving Design for Manufacturability. Busbar is an Engineered-To-Order (ETO) product, which means each customer order is specifically engineered. This generally leads to higher complexity and variation for departments supporting this product family. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a fast-paced environment that fosters problem-solving and continuous improvement.
