Job summary

St Christopher's Services CLG in Ireland is seeking a Support Worker for our Residential Services. The role focuses on person-centered care to promote independence and quality of life for service users with intellectual disabilities.

The successful candidate will assist in daily living, participate in a rolling roster with evenings, weekends, and holidays, and contribute to a safe, supportive community environment under a regulated framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Social Care/Special Needs/Healthcare or related discipline.
• Experience working with persons with an Intellectual Disability.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centered care to promote independence and quality of life.
• Assist and cooperate in the smooth running of the assigned area.
• Provide support within Residential Services with flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

We are looking for a Support Worker within our Residential and Respite & Children's Service. The successful candidates will maintain the highest attainable standards of person-centered care, to promote optimum independence and choice, and to enhance the quality of life of the Service User in all aspects of daily living within a regulated framework. To assist and co-operate in the smooth running of the assigned area.

Support Worker

Permanent Position - Average of 26 hours per week based on a rolling roster. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, is required.

Qualification

• A Minimum of FETAC Level 5 in Social Care/Special Needs/Healthcare or related discipline

Experience

• Experience working with persons with an Intellectual Disability.
• Knowledge and experience of the residential, social, and recreational needs of persons with an Intellectual Disability
• Knowledge and experience of advocacy and individual personal plans/person centred planning.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to drive as part of role is essential.
