Job summary

The RFT Group is seeking a Supply Chain Manager for a part-time engagement (16-20 hours/week) in Ireland. The role focuses on pharmaceutical serialization, logistics, and compliance with cGDP, FDA, and SOPs, acting as a key link between customers, CMOs, and ExM Supply Chain teams in the US and Ireland.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in pharmaceutical supply chain operations, strong leadership, and proven serialization experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business or higher.
• APICS CPIM and/or CSCP preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience and demonstrated knowledge in Pharmaceutical Supply Chain operations.
• Strong leadership skills, self-motivated with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to tight deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of master scheduling, capacity planning, materials management, import/export, SAP supply chain functionality, MS Office, project management and analytical tools.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are mandatory.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence planning decisions at CMO’s.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work well with diverse staff and stakeholders in multiple locations.
• Proven serialisation experience, working with major markets legally mandate serialization, including the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) and the Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD).

Responsibilities

• Develop /maintain strong relationships with supply chain counterparts in the internal and external contractors to facilitate continuous performance improvement.
• Link with Global Supply Chain to determine manufacturing requirements to fully meet network requirements.
• Ensuring supply from CMOs to meet network requirements and negotiation of required CMO schedule changes as required.
• Support third-party lab supplies, engineering stores, and collaborate with business units, warehouse, finance, and quality teams.
• Maintain supply plans, revise timing and quantities as appropriate based on changing needs & communicate supply plans as necessary to the key stakeholders.
• Lead regular Supply Chain meetings as required & provide input into Global Supply Chain meetings.
• Lead local S&OP process.
• Prepare and issue forecasts to assigned CMOs on a monthly basis in line with agreed or contracted forecast requirements.
• Agree safety stock requirements with stakeholders and maintain at agreed levels.
• Drive strategic inventory optimization initiatives, including offsite storage and global serialization support.
• Analyse and highlight any potential inventory write off risk
• Provide supply chain leadership for product introduction and transfer projects from contractors, ensuring External Manufacturing capability to meet all supply requirements.
• Review freight and distribution network and import/export licenses and practices
• Review of change controls raised to determine supply chain impact.
• Serve as site lead for inventory-related audits, cycle counts, financial controls, and inventory documentation management.
• Preparation of annual budgeted & projected requirements.
• Support any procurement tenders for services.

Our client, a Pharmaceutical company with strong development pipeline and commercial products, now seek a Supply Chain Manager with depth of Pharmaceutical serialisation and logistics (shipping etc) working to in compliance with company SOPs, all relevant cGDP guidelines and FDA regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a key link in Supply Chain & Logistics Management between Customers, Inter-company and CMOs, and the ExM Supply Chain functions in the US and Ireland.

This is initially a part-time role (16-20 hours per week) and will suit a Consultant / contractor. In time, this company will require a full-time equivalent. The ideal candidate will have strong pharmaceutical industry, with depth of serialisation and logistics (shipping etc) experience.
