Overview
During this six-month placement, you will join one of our core Supply Chain teams and become an active member of the function from day one. You will be assigned to one Supply Chain discipline for the duration of your placement, allowing you to build deeper knowledge, take ownership of meaningful work and contribute directly to team and business priorities. Depending on business requirements and your area of placement, you may join one of the following teams:
- Customer Engagement
- Supply Planning
- Material Planning
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Reporting & Analytics
- New Product Commercialisation
You will work alongside experienced Supply Chain professionals while collaborating with colleagues across Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, Quality, Finance, R&D and other business functions.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
- Supporting customer forecast and order management.
- Monitoring order fulfilment and customer service performance.
- Coordinating with Planning, Manufacturing and Logistics teams to support on-time delivery.
- Supporting customer communications and resolution of supply chain issues.
- Analysing forecast accuracy, order changes and customer performance.
- Supporting shipment and export documentation requirements.
Supply & Material Planning
- Supporting Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities.
- Monitoring material availability and supplier performance.
- Supporting inventory and supply planning.
- Identifying potential supply risks and escalating issues.
- Working with suppliers, Procurement teams and logistics providers to resolve constraints.
- Supporting planning data and master-data accuracy within SAP.
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Supporting production schedule development.
- Assisting with the creation and management of production orders within SAP.
- Monitoring production priorities and material availability.
- Working cross-functionally to resolve production and scheduling constraints.
- Supporting capacity and inventory analysis.
Reporting, Data & Analytics
- Producing Supply Chain reports and dashboards using SAP, Excel and Power BI.
- Analysing service, forecast, inventory and operational performance.
- Identifying trends, risks and opportunities from Supply Chain data.
- Supporting automation and simplification initiatives.
- Helping teams turn data into actionable insights.
New Product Commercialisation
- Supporting new product launch projects.
- Coordinating activities across Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing and Commercial teams.
- Tracking project milestones and actions.
- Supporting product lifecycle and discontinuation activities.
- Maintaining product portfolio information.
- Identifying risks that could impact successful product launches.
Qualifications
We are looking for curious, motivated students who are eager to learn and contribute. The successful candidate should:
- Be currently undertaking a degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Logistics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solution skills.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be comfortable working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities and take ownership of assigned activities.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach and willingness to learn.
- Have an interest in Supply Chain, operations and continuous improvement.
