Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Supply Chain Development Manager to lead cross-functional teams and drive end-to-end supply chain development for new product launches. You will manage ERP system and master data setup, packaging and regulatory filing mock-ups, and conduct distribution risk assessments to ensure launch readiness.

The role requires a scientific/technical degree, 6+ years in manufacturing supply chain (pharma), and strong project management and English communication.

Qualifications

  • Scientific/Technical Bachelor’s Degree as a minimum; Master degree preferred.
  • 6 years in Manufacturing Supply Chain with minimum three years in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) launches is highly desirable.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills for coordinating across functions and establishing common goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a matrix environment with tight deadlines.
  • ERP knowledge and practical application is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross functional NPI team to ensure end-to-end financial and system flows are developed and ERP system is set up for product launch (including SAP, financial flows, code creation, and managing regulatory submissions).
  • Responsible for NPI Finished Goods SKU creation in ERP system.
  • Lead end-to-end distribution assessment from lane related data collect, project kick-off to the completion of assessment.
  • Coordinate between Deliver, Transportation and Value chain team to ensure distribution is ready for launch.
  • Develop and track packaging mock-up development plan to support regulatory filing.
  • Support general launch execution activities, supporting new product launches, distribution, and packaging.
  • Continuously improve and standardize SCD processes and templates leveraging cross NPI program experiences to ensure consistent execution.
  • Develop and improve SCD Manager project intake, reporting and communication process.
  • Attend SCD Community of practice and other forums to learn and share best practices.

Working mode: Remote working / hybrid options in Cork/Barnahely

Duration: 12-month contract

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Imagine your next project leading cross-functional teams to drive critical end-to-end supply chain development and deliver successful global market launches for ground breaking pharmaceutical products.

The Supply Chain Development (SCD) team is responsible and accountable for developing and implementing an efficient, robust and compliant end to end supply chain for new products, ensuring successful global market launches by coordinating key functional group activities. The SCD team provides representation of the end-to-end supply function on new product value chain teams being led by the Value Chain Leader.

As a Supply Chain Development Manager, your role is to support SCD Leaders in leading and executing specific projects and key deliverables. This includes managing ERP system and master data setup, overseeing packaging and mock-up development for regulatory filing, conducting distribution storage and transportation risk assessments to ensure distribution ready for launch and leading product launch. You will lead cross-functional Supply Chain teams to ensure the timely completion of supply chain development deliverables across New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.

how to succeed
  • Scientific/Technical Bachelor’s Degree as a minimum; Master degree preferred.
  • Preferred Area of Study: Business, Pharma, Science/Engineering or other Technical Degrees.
  • 6 years in Manufacturing Supply Chain of which minimum three years of recent experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ideally with NPI launch experiences / Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) launches is highly desirable.
  • Preferred Related Industry Experience: Pharmaceutical supply chain.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills, essential for coordinating across functions, managing meetings, tracking system updates, and establishing common goals and objectives.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships without having direct authority, influence multiple stakeholders and establish common goals and objectives with ability to lead global cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex situations with opposing priorities.
  • Ability to build project action plans cross-function.
  • Monitor progresses and assure that the project plan is timely executed by implementing recurrent meetings, continuous connections and by engaging the team members.
  • Ability to readapt the project plan on the basis of changed priorities.
  • Assess potential risks to the project plan execution and assure mitigation is in place.
  • Ability to function autonomously and work pro‑actively.
  • Ability to see the big picture while keeping high level of attention to the details.
  • Experience working in a regional/global setting, or experience in a large‑scale business transformation project is required.
  • In depth understanding of the End to End Supply Chain and interdependencies across functions (e.g. Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Finance, Master‑data) is fundamental.
  • ERP knowledge and practical application is preferred.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills is required.
  • APICS, Process Excellence, or PMP/FPX certification helpful.

This role offers a very competitive hourly rate. This contract will initially run for 12 months.
