Job summary

SEI Investments is seeking a Supervisor, Centralised Operations - Reconciliations in Dublin. Lead the team handling daily reconciliation of private debt funds, coordinate with managers, banks and accountants, and drive process improvements. Strong knowledge of fund operations and reconciliation tools is essential.

You will mentor analysts, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain client relationships while upholding SEI's controls and service standards.

Qualifications

• Third level qualifications in Business, Finance or IT.
• 3–4 years’ experience in fund operations with Alternatives / Hedge Funds.
• Experience with Syndicated or Private Debt Loan Market.
• Knowledge of Geneva or similar Fund Accounting systems.
• Experience with bank debt processing via Geneva fund accounting system; Markit, etc.
• Knowledge of reconciling bank debt activity vs broker statements.
• Understanding of various security types.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all operational and staffing aspects of the Investment Reconciliations Team.
• Reconcile private loan transactions against broker cash statements to clear breaks.
• Investigate cash reconciliation breaks with stakeholders.
• Review and process loan life cycle activities: paydowns, borrowings, interest payments, rate resets, rollovers.
• Coordinate information between investment managers, banks and accounting teams.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation reporting.
• Suggest improvements for future solutions and participate in project plans.
• Resolve queries and errors with timely documentation.
• Maintain relationships with clients and internal SEI units; ensure controls and procedures.

The Supervisor, Centralised Operations - Reconciliations role is to manage the daily deliverables of the team. The team’s core responsibility is to complete daily reconciliation of Private Debt/Credit funds that hold complex private loans. The ability to understand loan operations and to process complex life cycle events along with overseeing the daily workload for the analysts on the team is the primary function of the role. The role will require strong communication skills interacting with clients and internal & external stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

• Supervision of all operational and staffing aspects of the Investment Reconciliations Team.
• Reconciliation of private loan transactions against broker cash statement to clear reconciliation breaks on Fund Accounting system.
• Investigation of cash reconciliation breaks with internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Review and process loan life cycle related activities including: paydowns, borrowings, interest payments, rate resets and rollovers.
• Communicate and coordinate information between investment managers, agent banks and accounting teams in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation reporting as required;
• Gain understanding of current solutions and make recommendations for future solutions to enhance SEI’s outsourcing services;
• Actively participate in project plans associated with solution development and implementation based upon agreed business requirements
• Query, problem and error resolution on a timely basis (with documentation);
• Facilitate communication between departments in Dublin and the U.S;
• Maintain a good working relationship with external clients as well as with internal units within SEI;
• Ensure adherence to controls and processes / procedures.
• Mentor and coach subordinates to develop capabilities and build a strong succession pipeline for the role

What you bring to the table:

• Third level qualifications (Business, Finance or IT related fields)
• 3 to 4 Years’ experience in Fund operations with experience in Alternatives / Hedge Funds
• Working knowledge of the Syndicated or Private Debt Loan Market
• Working knowledge of Geneva, or similar Fund Accounting systems
• Working knowledge of bank debt processing functionality using the Geneva fund accounting system, Markit etc.
• Knowledge and understanding in reconciling transactions when comparing bank debt activity and broker statements
• Knowledge of various security types
