Job summary

Clarity Recruitment is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist for a maternity cover role in Galway City. The position runs 9:00–17:30, with a 4- or 5-day week on rotation and alternate Saturdays (9:00–13:30). You will work with two other pharmacists and three technicians, using the MPS dispensing system.

Key duties include dispensing safety, regulatory compliance, team supervision, customer engagement, and stock control. PSI registration and prior supervisory experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock levels and correct storage/monitoring of dated products.
• Take on additional duties as required.

Supervising Pharmacist - Maternity cover - Galway City

Clarity is recruiting a Supervising Pharmacist for a busy pharmacy based in Galway City.

What you need to know:

This is a maternity cover position, starting February 2027. Hours are 9am–5:30pm, with a 4- or 5-day week on a rotating basis, plus alternate Saturdays (9am–1:30pm). You'll be working alongside an excellent support team, including two other pharmacists and three technicians, helping to manage a steady flow of customers. The pharmacy uses the MPS dispensing system.

What you'll be doing:

• Provide a safe and efficient dispensing service in accordance with the pharmacy guidelines
• Ensure safe and effective delivery of medicines
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Supervise and support the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and technicians
• Engage actively with customers to encourage customer loyalty and confidence
• Maintain appropriate stock levels in the Pharmacy, ensuring the correct storage and monitoring of dated products
• Any other duties as required

What we require:
