Job summary

Clarity Recruitment is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist for a maternity cover role in Galway City. The position runs 9:00–17:30, with a 4- or 5-day week on rotation and alternate Saturdays (9:00–13:30). You will work with two other pharmacists and three technicians, using the MPS dispensing system.

Key duties include dispensing safety, regulatory compliance, team supervision, customer engagement, and stock control. PSI registration and prior supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• PSI registration is required.
• Experience as Supervising Pharmacist or with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient dispensing per pharmacy guidelines.
• Ensure safe and effective delivery of medicines.
• Oversee day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy with compliance to regulations.
• Supervise and support the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and technicians.
• Engage with customers to build loyalty and confidence.
• Maintain stock levels and correct storage/monitoring of dated products.
• Take on additional duties as required.
