PharmacyStore Ireland is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist to lead a busy community pharmacy. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure high standards of patient care, compliance with PSI guidelines, and robust pharmacy team development in a patient-centric environment.
You will oversee dispensing accuracy, CPD for staff, and safe, compliant operations, while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and the local community.

A Supervising Pharmacist in PharmacyStore is a key member of the team and is the primary person responsible within the Pharmacy for providing excellent customer and patient care aligned with the requirements of the PSI. Operates as per the Code of Conduct outlined by the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) and ensures that the Pharmacy Team are compliant to said Code of Conduct.
Takes ownership for appropriate CPD and ensures CPD for all Dispensing Staff is aligned with PSI requirements.
The Supervising Pharmacist must ensure that the clear, structured processes and procedures are in place for dispensing activity including quality assured safety checking systems are updated and maintained with all required records.
Ensures that the production, preparation and supply of all medicinal products is completed to the appropriate standards and compliant with PSI requirements.
Takes ownership for the accuracy of the dispensing process by monitoring, reviewing and taking appropriate action to minimize/eliminate errors.
Partners with the Duty Manager(s) and the Buyer to ensure that all products are sourced from authorised suppliers and are authorised for supply.
Provides and supports patient consulting and counselling as required ensuring the customer/patient health & wellbeing is prioritised at all times.
Role modelling and fostering team behaviour that shows our customers that they are our highest priority.
Listening to our customers, understanding what would improve our service and dealing with any customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Provide input on the team and their performance to the Duty Manager(s) suggesting areas for development and training to meet the needs of the store and the business overall.
Works with all team members ensuring and takes ownership for updating team members on any compliance requirements that may be relevant to their role.
Integrates as part of the team and is a true team player providing support where and as needed.
Understands the financial impact of decisions taken and strives to drive operational efficiency across all areas of the business particularly dispensing.
Takes ownership for ensuring the required policies and procedures, as PSI guidelines are in place, documented and up to date at all times aligned with compliance requirements.
Supervising Pharmacist experience in a busy Community pharmacy desirable
May suit a pharmacist with at least 3 years experience looking for career progression
