Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Supervising Pharmacist role based in Ennis. The Supervising Pharmacist will oversee the safe and effective dispensing of medications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and professional standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the pharmacy team, verifying prescriptions, providing medication counseling, and supporting patients with clinical advice and health promotion. The role involves coordinating stock management, maintaining accurate records, and supporting services for community clients. The Supervising Pharmacist will also contribute to quality improvement initiatives and foster a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Professional pharmacy qualifications, including registration (or eligibility for registration) with the PSI and minimim of three years experience in community pharmacy practice.
• Strong clinical skills in medication management, prescription review, and patient counseling, with a commitment to safe and evidence-based practice.
• Experience supervising or leading pharmacy teams, with skills in staff coordination, mentoring, and maintaining a positive workplace culture.
• Competence in pharmacy software systems and electronic medication administration records (e.g., Touchstore), along with solid organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients, nursing home staff, and healthcare providers.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work efficiently in a busy, patient-facing environment.
